Eco villages

Bjelašnica and Igman have extremely well developed eco and rural tourism. A tour of the traditional villages surrounded by mountains is a special experience for all guests. Everyone experiences a visit to these villages in their own way because every single village is distinctively special and charming. Recommended visits include: Lukavac, Šabići, Umoljani, Dejčići, Ledići and Sinanovići. You can make your visit a daily tour, but you can certainly plan a multi-day stay in one of these villages.

Lukavac

Lukavac, an exceptionally serene place, ideal for enjoying the nature.

Šabići

Šabići, a place with beautiful pastures and hiking tracks. It is located in proximity of Rakitnica river canyon, a place of untouched nature. Recommended for daily tour with sampling of local cuisine.

Umoljani

Umoljani, a picture-postcard village where you can see real shepherd's summer pasture cottages but also stećak, a house-shaped burial stones, a real phenomenon of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Umoljani village is inhabited throughout the year. We definitely recommend sampling some of the local specialties here as well.

Dejčići

Dejčići, a village known as a vacation hot spot for all those who enjoy scenic mountain ranges.

Ledići

Ledići come after Dejčići and it is a place of beautiful pastures with exceptionally clean mountain streams.

Sinanovići

Sinanovići is the oldest originated village in Bjelašnica. It's special in summer time, it's special in winter-time, regardless of the time of year, a visit to the Sinanovići is always a special experience. Recommendation for lunch: pita or pura, traditional Bosnian cuisine.
